Privacy Policy
Your prayers stay between you and your Mac.
SalatReminder is a macOS app published by Mohammed Loulou. It is built to work entirely on your Mac. It has no accounts, no analytics, no advertising, and no tracking, and it does not sell or share personal data with anyone.
Location
Prayer times depend on where you are, so SalatReminder asks for permission to use macOS Location Services. Your location is used only to calculate prayer times on your Mac. It is never sent to us or to anyone else.
You can turn location access off at any time in System Settings → Privacy & Security → Location Services. SalatReminder needs a location to calculate accurate prayer times.
Notifications and sound
SalatReminder asks for permission to send notifications so it can remind you when a prayer begins. Notifications are delivered by macOS on your Mac.
Your settings
Your preferences, such as which prayers call out, your reciter, volume, and menu bar style, are stored only on your Mac. Deleting the app and its preferences removes them.
Update checks
To tell you when a new version is available, SalatReminder contacts our update server at updates.maadlou.com. Like any web request, this shows the server your IP address. The request does not include your location, prayer settings, or any other personal information.
This website
salatreminder.app does not use cookies, analytics, or tracking scripts. If you choose Arabic-Indic numerals on the site, that preference is saved in your own browser only. To show approximate prayer times for your area, the site asks GeoJS (geojs.io) for your city based on your IP address; we don’t receive or store the result, and the app never uses it. The site and the download are served by our hosting providers, which keep standard server logs, such as IP addresses and request times, to operate and secure the service.
Children
SalatReminder does not collect personal information from anyone, including children.
Changes
If this policy changes, we will update it here and change the effective date above.
